How the Morpheus8 Procedure Works

During the procedure, our priority is your safety and comfort. Generally, we perform our Morpheus8 procedure with topical numbing to reduce discomfort, but more types of anesthesia are available depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment and your tolerance. For most patients, pain is very tolerable. The most common sensation is pressure and some heat.

During the treatment, the non-surgical device heats layers of the skin in a controlled manner, which will stimulate collagen production and result in improved skin texture, a brighter complexion, and potential tightening. When administered at deeper depths, this treatment can decrease subcutaneous tissue for fat reduction in areas such as under the chin, jowls, abdomen, bra-line, and legs. It is recommended to do a series of three treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart for best results.

Putting Your Safety First

Though microneedling is a very safe procedure in the hands of a licensed provider, it isn’t without its risks. At your consultation, your provider will discuss the potential risks associated with Morpheus8 so you can make an informed decision about the procedure. If any risks concern you, or if you have follow-up questions, your provider will address them so you feel confident moving forward. We put your safety first, always. Our team takes every precaution to reduce the risk of complications and ensure you are safe and comfortable during the procedure.

Recovering from Morpheus8

Just as your skin is unique, your treatment and recovery will be too. The intensity of your treatment will determine how long it takes to recover. Generally, you can expect two to five days of mild redness and swelling. As you recover, we advise you to not wear makeup for 24 hours after, avoid aggressive skincare and skin treatments, and stay out of the sun for a week. You may also see needle tip marks in the skin for a few days up to a few weeks post-treatment, but they will fade away. After about eight to twelve weeks after your treatment, you will enjoy visibly brighter and smoother skin.

Maintain Your Results

After your treatment, you’ll need to maintain your results to enjoy long-lasting smooth skin. As with most non-surgical treatments, we always say the more aggressive the treatment, the better the results. Depending on your goals, we usually recommend at least three treatments of Morpheus8 spaced four to six weeks apart. After that, we see that annual treatments help maintain and improve results.

We recommend starting Alastin’s Transform cream 24 hours after the procedure and using it twice a day during your treatment to boost fat reduction and increase collagen and elastin production for tighter skin. Studies have shown a 30% increase in results with the use of Alastin’s Transform cream. Along with the Alastin Transform cream, we also recommend continuing your skincare routine, applying sunscreen, staying hydrated, and maintaining a healthy diet and exercise to get the best results from your microneedling treatments.
