Rhinoplasty

Define and Enhance Your Natural Features
One of the most pronounced features of a face is the nose. It’s the focal point of the face and defines the side profile. Every nose is unique: beaked, flat, sloped, or button; no matter what type of nose you have it’s an important part of you. We believe everyone should feel they are always putting their best face forward. With our rhinoplasty procedure, we can help you feel empowered to be the best version of yourself.

What a Rhinoplasty Can Do For You
A rhinoplasty, which is also commonly referred to as a nose job, addresses any concerns you might have about your nose’s contour. Every nose is unique, your procedure will be specific to you. How we tailor your rhinoplasty depends entirely on your goals and the desired look you’re trying to achieve. A rhinoplasty doesn’t create an entirely new nose, rather it improves or enhances your nose’s natural shape.
The issues a rhinoplasty can address for you include:
Noses that are too large, wide, droopy, small, crooked, or bent
Altering nostrils that are too wide, narrow, upturned, or constricted
Straighten a nose that has been broken or fractured
Improve side profile contour
Some rhinoplasties can also correct a deviated septum, but if this is to correct breathing issues, then you will want to see an ENT specialist. If you are looking to balance your face’s natural proportions, you have come to the right place. Our procedure is for cosmetic purposes only. With that said, you should discuss your expectations with one of our providers so we can guide you toward the right option for you.

Listening to Your Wants and Needs

Our procedures begin with clear communication with the patient, which is why we require you to speak with one of our providers before your rhinoplasty. Your consultation is your time to tell us your concerns, wants, and goals and it is our time to listen. Your provider is here to help you determine the best course of action to achieve your desired look. Our only input is our professional opinion about what option will work best for you.
Generally, a rhinoplasty consultation takes up to an hour. At this time, we take pictures of your face from several different views. With these photos, your provider can manipulate them so you can visualize your desired nose and spot any asymmetry as well. Our goal is to create harmony with the rest of your features. It’s also important for you to see pictures of potential outcomes so you can have positive and realistic expectations moving forward. During your consultation, your provider will also ask you about your medical history, current medications, and previous surgeries. For your safety, it’s important to answer your provider honestly, as any unknown health issues could impair your recovery. We also want to provide you with the safest and most effective treatment.
What to Expect for Your Rhinoplasty Procedure
We want you to be informed every step of the way, so you and your provider will discuss your rhinoplasty beforehand. After you schedule your surgery and about two to four weeks before it, you will meet with a nurse who will go over your medication, health history, and previous surgeries again to make sure there are no complications. The nurse will also give you your pre and post-op care instructions. You can also take the opportunity to ask any questions you might have about your rhinoplasty and aftercare.
Then you’ll have your second pre-op with your surgeon. This meeting will also be two to four weeks before your procedure. Your surgeon will walk you through your surgery again and answer any questions or concerns you might have. On the day of surgery, you’ll meet with your OR nurses who will prepare you for your rhinoplasty. During this time, you will also meet with the anesthesiologist, and you will have the opportunity to discuss any past issues with anesthesia. Your surgeon will answer any last minute questions and do any markings if necessary, then you’re ready for your surgery.

Other Procedures with a Rhinoplasty
Along with your rhinoplasty, we offer other procedures that can help you achieve the results you are looking for. It doesn’t matter if you want to balance out the proportions of your face, or if you are looking for a non-surgical alternative. We are flexible when it comes to meeting your needs. Here are some of the options available to you.
Chin Augmentation
Patients often want chin augmentations with their rhinoplasty to bring harmony and balance to their features. Chin augmentations use implants to define the bone structure, especially if you have a weak jawline or an unpronounced chin. If you are interested in exploring this option, you can discuss chin augmentations at your consultation. Learn More About Chin Augmentation
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
If you aren’t sure if a rhinoplasty is a right option, we offer other procedures that also contour your nose. For a non-surgical approach, you can explore liquid rhinoplasties. Unlike a rhinoplasty procedure, fillers don’t surgically reduce your nose. Instead, this procedure uses hyaluronic acid filler to create an illusion of light and shadows around the nose. Recovering After Your Rhinoplasty
After a rhinoplasty, you may experience temporary side effects like minor swelling or bruising. We want you to be as comfortable as possible as you recover, so if you have any discomfort, tell your provider at your post-op. When you leave surgery, you will have splints and gauze packing to support your nose as it begins to heal. Your provider will remove these dressings a week later.
After your procedure, you may see a difference in your nose. However, it generally takes about a year for recovery. Within the year, you should be able to see the complete results of your rhinoplasty. Everyone’s healing process is as unique as the nose on your face. For the smoothest recovery, your provider will recommend aftercare based on your personal needs and lifestyle.

Potential Rhinoplasty Risks
Another area we discuss at your consultation is potential risks. While we can do everything we can to reduce their likelihood, we can’t eliminate the possibility. We want you to feel comfortable and confident when proceeding with your rhinoplasty. Our team of nurses and board-certified surgeons takes every precaution to make your rhinoplasty is as safe and effective as possible. If any of these risks are concerning to you, discuss them with your provider at your consultation.
