Your Plastic Surgery Consultation
Ensuring the Best Outcome
If you are considering plastic surgery, you may be wondering how the process works. At Gayoso Plastic Surgery and Medspa, patients will meet with their provider at a consultation to discuss what their concerns are. Meeting with the provider allows us to get to know you, your goals, and your health history, to ensure we have the right procedure and realistic outcomes for you. Here’s what you should expect from your plastic surgery consultation.
What to Expect for Your Plastic Surgery Consultation
After you make your appointment, you will receive a welcome packet that will include a confirmation of your appointment, intake forms to fill out, a map, and driving directions. Your packet will also include some basic information about your provider as well as some specific information about the procedure or procedures you are considering. You are encouraged to read through this information and bring any questions you may have to your plastic surgery consultation.
At Gayoso Plastic Surgery and MedSpa, we don’t believe in “fly-by” consultations. Instead, we will take the time to listen to your concerns and goals, answer all your questions, and give detailed recommendations. Your provider will discuss your health history, perform a physical exam, educate you on the procedure, and show you before and after pictures of previous patients.

Meeting With Our Surgical Concierge
After you have worked out a surgical plan with your provider, you will meet with our patient coordinator to review fees, surgical scheduling, and other questions you may have. The patient coordinator will be your surgical “concierge,” always on-hand and available to take care of any concerns or issues may have related to your surgery scheduling.

Scheduling Pre-Op Appointments

You will return to our office for two preoperative appointments two to four weeks before surgery. During your first appointment, you will meet with one of our nurses to discuss your medical history, current medications, and previous surgeries to ensure there will be no issues with your procedure. The nurse will also go over all the preoperative and postoperative information you need to know and answer any questions you may have. At the second preoperative appointment, you will meet with your surgeon who will discuss the details of your surgery again and answer any questions you may have.
Post-Op Appointments
After your surgery, you will have follow-up appointments to ensure your healing is progressing as expected and that your results are shaping up as they should. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your healing process, you may call our office to speak with one of the nurses.
